SCHIMMEL
Germany's largest and most successful piano manufacturer was established in 1885 and remains in family hands to this day. Schimmel pianos are exceptionally well designed and manufactured. Their pricing is comparatively low in their class of upright and grand pianos.

CHARLES WALTER
Walter pianos are one of the few american-built pianos remaining. The company, located in Elkhart, IN, is family-owned and operated. Walter almost exclusively builds only one size of instrument - a studio-size vertical piano. Charles Walter has refined the hand-crafted manufacturing process to such a degree that his instruments earned the rare endorsement of Steinway & Sons. The hand-finished beauty of the Walter piano cabinets are unmatched in the industry.
The instruments are available in furniture and institutional style cabinets with the option of 'custom finish' to your wood/furniture sample. Among piano technicians I haven't heard as many good things said about one particular piano line than in the case of the Walter studio piano. Comes with a twelve year manufacturers warranty.
